Community Moderator - $15–$20/hr

NoGigiddy

About NoGigiddy

NoGigiddy is a digital platform built for gig workers, side hustlers, and anyone building an income outside the traditional 9-to-5. We connect our community with real earning opportunities — remote jobs, surveys, clinical trials, gig platforms, and financial tools — all in one place, free to access, no gatekeeping. We built what we wish had existed, and we hire people who actually get it.

The Role

A great online community doesn't happen by accident — it's built by people who show up, set the tone, and protect the space. As a Community Moderator at NoGigiddy, you'll keep our digital community spaces engaging, inclusive, and on-brand. You'll welcome new members, facilitate discussions, enforce community guidelines, and handle conflict before it becomes a problem. If you're naturally diplomatic, well-organized, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people online, this role is a great fit.

Responsibilities

Monitor community channels (Discord, Facebook Groups, forum threads, comment sections) for policy violations, spam, and conflict

Welcome new community members and help them get oriented in the space

Facilitate engaging discussions by asking questions, surfacing great content, and keeping conversations productive

Enforce community guidelines consistently and fairly — with context, not just a ban button

Handle member complaints, disputes, and appeals with professionalism and empathy

Escalate serious violations (harassment, threats, illegal content) to senior trust and safety staff

Track moderation activity and compile weekly community health reports

Requirements

No degree required

Prior experience in online communities — as a moderator or active participant — is preferred but not required

Strong written communication with the ability to de-escalate tense situations in text

Empathetic but firm — you can deliver a consequence without being cruel

Genuine enthusiasm for community building and human connection online

Familiarity with Discord, Facebook Groups, Reddit, or similar community platforms

Reliable availability during assigned moderation windows

Benefits

Pay of $15–$20/hr

Flexible part-time hours with potential for expanded coverage

Fully remote — moderate from anywhere

Work inside a community that actually cares about its members

Path to senior moderator and community manager roles

Access to NoGigiddy's full network of remote work and earning opportunities

Equal Opportunity Employer. NoGigiddy celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
